DC has plenty of amazing farmers markets where you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, flowers and array of artisan products. However there is one market that is known as being the best of the best in DC. If you love farmers markets, you need to visit Dupont Circle FreshFarm Market, the best farmers market in DC!
The Dupont Circle FreshFarm market was one of the first farmers markets in the area. It originally opened in 1997 and has consistently grown in the last 20 years.
In peak season, there are over 50 vendors at the market and you can find anything you could want there.
From fresh fruits to flowers to meat and poultry, the market covers everything.
You can even order prepared foods like pizza or sandwiches and soups. Last year, the Market even began selling local District-made beer and spirits.
But the market is so much more than a traditional farmers market. It’s a community gathering place and has become a social scene.
It’s not surprising to find shoppers laid out on grassy areas, munching on their freshly purchased meals or snacks, near the market.
There is even a designated dog park area where dog’s can play while their owners shop.

The Dupont Circle FreshFarm Market is open year round. It is open every Sunday. From April to December, it is open from 8:30am to 1:30pm and from January to March, it is open 10am to 1pm. The market is located at 1500 20th Street NW, close to the Dupont Circle metro station.
