There’s A Cat Cafe In Washington DC And It’s Just As Amazing As It Sounds

Coffee and cats, two things that are both really beloved. So why not combine them? Crumbs & Whiskers is DC’s first ever cat cafe and it’s just as fun as it sounds. Head over to Georgetown for a great cup of coffee and some serious cuddle time with your new feline friends at this purrrrrfect cat cafe!
Crumbs and Whiskers is located at 3211 O Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood.
The owner Kanchan Signh, was inspired to open Crumbs & Whiskers after experience a cat cafe while on a trip to Thailand. She wanted to offer a spot where she could house cats and promote adoptions.
Crumbs and Whiskers aims to bring together friends, coffee and shelter cats in a tiny but bright and sunny two floor building in Georgetown.
You can make a reservation online and then arrive to your appointment and order your drinks and learn about the cats. The you’re free to cuddle with the cats and enjoy your treats.
The menu is simple and includes lattes, coffees and teas prepared. You can also order macarons. The staff at Crumbs and Whiskers will take your order and walk to a local shop to pick it up, as nothing is made in-house.
There are anywhere between 10 and 20 cats roaming around Crumbs & Whiskers and all are available for adoption.
The cats will sleep in baskets, lounge in the sun or cuddle and play with the visitors. There are a variety of toys for the cats to play with.
It’s $18 on the weekdays and $22 on the weekends for an hour and 15 minutes of cat cuddling. You can also pay $6.50 for a 15 minute walk in, if there is space available.
This local gem is a cute and cozy way to spend an hour with your friends and some precious cats!
