Hole in the wall restaurants are true gems. They have character and quirks. They are places where you can make really great memories with really great people. DC has a few hole in the wall places that you absolutely must try, including this spectacular roadside restaurant. The Dew Drop Inn is a piece of roadside Americana in DC that you won’t want to miss.
The Dew Drop Inn was inspired by the many roadside restaurants and bars with the same name across America.
It's a place where locals and travelers can rest, relax and unwind after a long day at work or a long day on the road.
The restaurant itself is small but is full of character. It's housed in a stone industrial building that was once a workspace for metal workers.
In true roadside restaurant form, The Dew Drop Inn is located next to train tracks. You can see and hear the CSX, Marc and DC metros going by.
They have an open outdoor space too which is an ideal drinking spot in warm fall and spring weather.
They have a full bar and a traditional bar menu. You won't find fancy dishes on the menu. If you love good pub sandwiches, pretzels, chips and dip and fried foods, then you'll have a good meal there.
On the weekends, the Dew Drop Inn becomes more of a party location. They have DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. Occasionally, they will also have live music.
Whether you prefer a loud music and party atmosphere or a laid back chill vibe, you can find both at The Dew Drop Inn.
The Dew Drop Inn is located in Edgewood at 2801 8 Street NE. They are open seven days a week. Stop in anytime to enjoy a cold beverage, great food and a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
