The Pretzel Bakery is a small independently owned neighborhood shop. And of course, it features an impressive menu of pretzels!

But this is not just your average pretzel shop. The owner Sean Haney, grew up in Philadelphia, where pretzels are a beloved treat. When he came to DC, he was unhappy with the limited amount of pretzel shops here.

So he decided to open his own pretzel shop in 1998. He perfected his pretzels over the years and today he and his team hand rolls fresh pretzels every day in house.

But The Pretzel Bakery takes their pretzels one step further than the traditional salted ones. They serve breakfast sliders with bacon, egg and cheese on a pretzel roll.

They sell "Pretzel Bombs" which are sweet pretzels filled with Nutella filling and topped with a sweet glaze.

They even offer seasonal items like the maple cream cheese filled pretzel bomb topped with bacon.
