DC might not be pirate waters but there is one pirate ship floating around that you will definitely want to board. The Boomerang Pirate Ship is a fantastically unique and fun adventure that is perfect for all ages!
The Boomerang Boat is a custom designed pirate ship that hosts parties and themed adventures all up and down the Potomac.
The boat is a 54 foot pirate vessel that fits 90 people. It’s been decked out to look like an actual pirate ship with barrels for tables and a signature skull and cross bones flag flying high above it.
It has two levels of open deck space, water cannons, a full bar and a DJ booth!
During the day, the ship hosts family fun treasure hunt cruises. Most of these cruises last an hour and during that hour, there is face painting, limbo games, pirate music and more.
The guests are sometimes asked to protect the ship with water cannons from rogue pirates who attack!
In the evenings, there are adults-only pirate themed parties. These fun party cruises consisted of a full bar, great music and gorgeous views.
These evening cruises don’t include pirate demonstrations but they are plenty of fun and you’ll get great views of DC including the Kennedy Center, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, National’s Stadium and more!
There is snack bar on the ship so on either cruise you can grab snacks and during the adult cruise, there is a full bar.
Dressing up as a pirate is optional but it can be fun and you fit in with the staff who all dress in costume!
The Boomerang Pirate Ship offers cruises on the weekends and departs from the Washington Harbor. You need to book your tickets online and you can do so on their website.
There is no other boat trip quite like the Boomerang Pirate ship in DC! But we do have plenty of water activities you can enjoy like kayaking and canoeing spots.
