There are venues in DC and then there’s The Bullpen, which is an experience unlike anything else. Whether you are a die hard baseball fan, a food truck lover or a fan of cool and unique spots, you need to visit this awesome venue in DC!
The Bullpen, which has also been called Half Street Fairgrounds, is an open air venue in The Navy Yard, across from Nationals Park.
Crafted out of shipping containers, the Bullpen is pretty bare-bones for an outdoor venue. But there is so much more to it than meets the eye.
The Bullpen is a free venue that offers live music, games, food trucks, drinks and plenty of fun for Washingtonians.
Every summer, Washingtonians flock into the blue, orange and white shipping container gates to play corn hole, sample beers and frozen drinks and listen to the live band while socializing with their friends.
The Bullpen is best known as the place to go before Nationals games. It opens two hours before the game and their happy hour offers $5 drinks from the 3rd-7th innings.
In addition to Nats games, the Bullpen is home to local events throughout the summer including concerts and local festivals.
Truckeroo, food truck rodeo festival, is one of the monthly events at the Bullpen that happens throughout the summer.
