Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Ever have the urge to get out and explore but are short on funds? No worries, there are plenty of day trips in Connecticut that don’t require loads of cash! One of our favorite outings that won’t break the bank is a trip to the Yale Center for British Art. Many people don’t know that Connecticut is home to the largest collection of British art outside of the United Kingdom. This museum in New Haven is home to more than 2,000 works of art and is open to the public free of charge. It’s a beautiful museum that’s a perfect free and educational day trip for art lovers.
