There is a mountain full of wild animals hiding inside Cabela’s in East Hartford. No, they aren’t alive…but they look like they are! If you haven’t gone to check these creatures out, you’re going to want to as soon as you can. Whether you are a kid or an adult, there is something quite impressive about this massive animal display. Whether you need outdoors equipment or not, a visit to this enormous outdoors store in Connecticut is well worth the trip.
Cabela's is located in East Hartford. You can easily get lost in this gigantic outdoors store for an entire afternoon.
The mountain of wild animals stretches up to the second floor of the store. These are museum quality trophy mounts that appear as if they will jump down off the mountain at a moments notice.
But you will want to ascend to the second floor and discover what species are perching on top of the mountain. From deer to polar bears, you can expect to be amazed at this display.
A tunnel runs through the middle of the mountain giving way to an amazing aquarium. Kids love to enter this domain and check out the aquatic entertainment.
Take a bite out of a burger, or grab one of the sandwiches, salads, or soups. If you're an experimental eater, here is your chance to try buffalo, elk, wild boar, or bison.
