There’s no shortage of great holiday events and Christmas towns in Connecticut – it seems like just about everywhere you look, there’s a Nutmeg State city or town with a parade, light show, or meet and greet with Santa. If you’re looking for the largest Christmas light display in southern New England, there’s only one place to go, though: Olde Mistick Village. This charming collection of 40 shops in Mystic puts on an annual Holiday Light Spectacular that features more than half a million lights. Walking through these displays would even put a smile on the Grinch’s face. Check it out:
It's tough not to be smitten with Olde Mistick Village at any time of year. This collection of around 40 shops and restaurants is designed to look like a colonial New England town.
They won't come down until January 31, 2023, so you've got plenty of time to stop by and enjoy them! It's free to walk around the Village and you're welcome to come enjoy the lights even after the shops have closed.
There's also a few fun events planned throughout the winter to make sure your Christmas cheer stays in full swing. The annual holiday carnival will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Make sure to visit the Holiday Lights Spectacular in Connecticut. This is a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping while enjoying a winter wonderland display.
