Of all the foods in the world, donuts have got to be one of our favorites. After all, they’re a sweet, portable treat that comes in a variety of flavors and they’re small enough that you can enjoy multiple ones at a time without feeling too bad about it. There are no shortage of great donut shops in Connecticut, but one of our favorites is Flanders Donut and Bake Shop in East Lyme. This spot looks like a bit of a hole-in-the-wall: it’s small, with an unassuming brick exterior and drive-thru, but the donuts here are pretty darn good, and it’s no wonder that it’s been serving up delicious treats to Nutmeg State residents for more than 50 years!
