Located in the center of Connecticut is a historic theater that demands to be visited. Not only is it stunning both inside and out, but it’s conveniently located 35 miles from all the surrounding state lines and just off the I-84. If you haven’t had the chance to see a show at the Palace Theater yet, add it to the calendar immediately. You can see the upcoming featured presentations here.
There's a lot of history and grandeur at the Palace Theater. Reopened with the help of a generous grant in 2004, this large scale theater a must visit for entertainment seekers. In fact, it's a great idea for date night!
Inside, you'll find Renaissance Revival architecture with soaring ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers. There are also hints of Greek, Roman, and Arabic art as well. But it doesn't stop in the lobby.
Can you imagine catching a show in a room as intricately and beautifully designed as this one? Well you can! Plenty of events are hosted here throughout the year. The room appears as if it's literally made of gold but the tickets are actually reasonably priced.
And believe it or not, this theater is also a venue and can be rented for weddings and other affairs. Folks love the classic and luxurious mood this place sets for guests, coupled with its state pride.
