Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Tarrywile Park in Danbury is perhaps best known as the home of Hearthstone Castle. One of a surprising number of castles in Connecticut, Hearthstone is a century-old castle that is currently in disrepair. But there are many other things to see in Tarrywile Park’s 722 acres. It’s the largest municipal park in Connecticut and it’s filled with nature and activities galore. One easy way to experience much of the beauty Tarrywile Park has to offer is to hike the park’s main trail. This 4.5-mile trail is such a peaceful spot and it’s one of our favorite trails in Connecticut.
