Fall in Connecticut is a magical time. With so many activities to experience, it’s almost overwhelming. From visiting autumn attractions like Pumpkintown U.S.A. to picking apples at Karabin Farms, there’s a lot to do here. One activity you may have not yet considered is a trail ride in Connecticut. Even if you’ve never ridden a horse before, or it’s been years since you’ve done so, a trail ride is a great way to check out the fall foliage in Connecticut. Stirrup Fun Stables Rescue, Inc. provides a safe environment for riders of all skill levels. You’ll get to see Connecticut nature from a whole new vantage point.
Stirrup Fun Stables is a nonprofit rescue. Horses are taken in from situations where they may have experienced neglect or abuse. Given veterinary care and time to heal, these horses learn to trust people again.
Trail rides are available to the public at no commitment. Even if you're not interested in riding on a regular basis or taking it up as a hobby, you can still come out and go on a scheduled ride.
Guided trail rides are available for adults and kids over the age of 8. You'll be paired with a horse that's appropriate for your size and skill level, and then you'll hit the trails with an experienced guide.
This is a fun activity any time of year, but it's particularly great in the fall! Experiencing fall foliage from horseback gives you a unique vantage point.
Getting in touch with nature by going for a trail ride is something many never get to experience. If you live in a city, chances are good you rarely even come in contact with horses.
