The researchers at Groupon examined each state's cocktail-related Google searches for the last ten years, specially targeting the months of April to October. Then, they controlled for the drinks' overall popularity. So if Texas guzzles margaritas all year long, that refreshing drink is less likely to be their favorite summertime cocktail.
According to research, Nutmeggers shy away from fruity tiki drinks and reach straight for a vodka martini when the weather gets warm.
