One of our favorite small-town restaurants in Essex CT is at Copper Beech Inn in Ivoryton. This little town has fewer than 3,000 residents, but Copper Beech Inn provides an amazingly delicious fine dining experience that can compete with any in the country.

Ivoryton is one of three villages in the town of Essex. The Copper Beech Inn resides in this little spot. Not only is this a four-star hotel with luxury service, but it's also home to the amazing Copper Beech Inn Restaurant.

This property alone is worth a visit to town. If you're looking for one of the "best restaurants near me," you've just found one.
The restaurant feels like a wonderful throwback, a step back in time to a classy fine dining establishment of years past. The interior is lovely, and there's even a seasonal outdoor dining area available for warmer days.

The interior feels vintage and historic but not stuffy, a difficult feat for historic properties to attain.
The food is as beautifully presented as it is delicious. The menu changes seasonally to reflect what's available. The ingredients are locally procured whenever possible.
