Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). I love traveling in the fall. Fall in Connecticut is such a great time, and while it can feel like summer vacations get all the publicity, those of us who prefer cooler temperatures know that autumn vacations and day trips are the way to go. The scenery is magnificent, there are festivals and events galore, and everything just feels cheery and bright heading into the holiday season. It’s a wonderful time of year to check out some of our many small towns. One of our favorite fall day trips in Connecticut is the little town of East Haddam. This is such a scenic place, and it looks all the more amazing when surrounded by fall foliage. Check it out:
