There’s nothing quite like the joy of dining with incredible views. Who doesn’t love enjoying a cool breeze on a warm evening while eating al fresco? Or, if the weather isn’t cooperating, dining while staring dreamily out of a window at an incredible view? If you’re looking for restaurants with waterfront views in Connecticut, look no further. It doesn’t get much better than Essex’s Siren Kitchen and Bar.
Siren Kitchen and Bar is owned by the same couple that own Haywire Burger Bar, a Westbrook favorite for burgers and sandwiches. They opened Siren last year and call it "an elevated lobster shack."
You have to take a short ferry ride from downtown to reach Siren, as it's located on an island. The name refers to the sirens of Greek myth who drew sailors in with their singing, just as the restaurant draws visitors in with its food.
If the weather's nice, there's beautiful tables for outdoor dining. The oceanfront breeze and amazing views will make you feel like you stepped right into a postcard.
