Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Life can sometimes feel crowded and overwhelming, especially if you live in the city. Luckily, we have plenty of secluded parks in Connecticut where you can escape into nature and enjoy tranquility without a ton of other people around. One of our favorite is the marvelous Selden Neck State Park. This place is huge and rather remote. It’s nestled in the Connecticut River off the coast of Lyme, and is only reachable by boat. If you’re ready to set sail on a peaceful adventure, check it out:
