You'd Never Guess Some Of The Best Japanese Food In Connecticut Is Hiding In This Old Firehouse
Dining out at an international restaurant in Connecticut is such a treat. It’s almost like getting to travel the world, no passport required. I love the zesty familiarity of Italian or Mexican dishes, but it’s also fun to indulge in something a little more exotic, like Ethiopian food. You’ll find plenty of amazing ethnic restaurants in Connecticut to satisfy any appetite. When it comes to Japanese fare, one of the best menus in the state is hiding in an unsuspecting spot. OKO in Westport, CT has been serving up amazing dishes since 2018. It’s tucked away inside the historic Vigilant Hose Company Firehouse in downtown. You wouldn’t expect to find authentic Japanese dishes in suburban Westport, much less in an old firehouse, so this is a pretty surprising spot!
