Connecticut isn’t famous for Mexican fare, but when you’re craving those south-of-the-border flavors, we do have some great dining options. Here’s a little restaurant that’s tiny in size, but big on flavor and really, really big on portions. Check out Rincon Taqueria:
Welcome to Rincon Taqueria! This tiny restaurant might be small in size, but when it comes to the food, you'd better bring your appetite - the portions are enormous!
While the exterior of the restaurant looks a bit like a hole-in-the-wall, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you walk through the door. This adorable little place is light and airy and full of charm.
The dining room is pretty tiny, but it maximizes the use of its space and makes it feel much bigger than it is by using a fresh, minimal approach to the decor. Rincon Taqueria celebrates Central and South America through its decor, and its food.
No matter what you order, the portions are big enough to share, but the food is so delicious that you might want to keep it all for yourself. The meat here is all cooked overnight and it's so tender that it just about falls apart on your fork.
...but the burrito will knock your socks off. This monster is eight inches long, and stuffed with rice, beans, and your choice of beef, chicken, or pork.
Whether you're just stopping by for lunch on a Taco Tuesday, or gathering with a group of friends for a special occasion, you'll want to give Rincon Taqueria a try. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m, Friday and Saturday til 10 p.m., and Sunday til 5 p.m..
