Northern Connecticut, especially the northeastern “Quiet Corner” often gets a bad rap as boring. So it may surprise you to learn that one of the best foodie towns in Connecticut is tucked away right in the northeast corner of the state. Putnam may be one of the larger cities in the Quiet Corner, but it still has a small population of just over 9,000. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in delicious restaurants.
