She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Fans of pastries don’t have to look too far to find wonderful baked goods in Connecticut. There are so many wonderful Nutmeg State donut shops, bakeries, and ice cream parlors that we were even able to make a whole dessert road trip in Connecticut. One of our favorite bakeries in Connecticut is the wonderful and authentic Unicorn Polish Bakery and Deli. This place serves up amazing baked goods that taste just like they’re from Grandma’s house.
Unicorn Polish Bakery is tucked away in Vernon, and this place is magnificent. If you grew up in a Polish family with older relatives who loved to bake, you'll feel right at home here.
Even if you didn't have that experience in your youth, you'll certainly feel like part of the family once you get here. The tiny shop's pastry cabinet is packed with delicious goods, from desserts to old-fashioned Polish breads.
The shop may be small and old-fashioned, but it's filled with delicious goodies that are just perfect for when you're craving something a little more exotic than your typical donut or chocolate chip cookie.
For more information about Unicorn Polish Bakery in Connecticut, check out the restaurant’s Facebook page. The shop is not very active on social media, but trust us, it’s worth a visit!
