Connecticut is a shockingly scenic state. People are often surprised by how much natural beauty we have here, since we are often overshadowed by some of our neighboring states. One place where you can observe some of that incredible natural beauty is on the trails at Sunset Rock Park. This beautiful little protected area surrounds the lovely Crescent Lake and contains a trail that will take you straight to an overlook that’s so gorgeous it looks straight out of Hollywood.
Sunset Rock Park is a small, 18-acre park in Connecticut that may not offer much in the way of amenities, but what it does have is trails with great views. The park is near Southington.
You'll find a few trails here (orange, red, and green) that vary in difficulty. The terrain is a bit hilly, they're all rated at least moderate difficulty, but none are longer than three miles.
