Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Kids are wonderful, but they can also be a bit of a handful. It seems like every time you’re getting ready to settle down for a relaxing day of doing nothing, they get a sudden burst of energy and want to wreak havoc on everything around them. There are plenty of great family attractions in Connecticut, but if you’re looking for somewhere where a kid can be a kid and interact with others in their own age group, it doesn’t get much better than a good old-fashioned playground. You can find playgrounds at many parks throughout the state, but one of our favorites is Josh’s Jungle All-Abilities Playground in Hamden.
