Connecticut certainly has no shortage of beautiful coastal towns to visit, but Niantic has to be one of our favorites. Niantic is a small, quaint village in East Lyme that runs along the scenic Long Island Sound. Full of local history, nature, and unique places for shopping and dining, this village has a little something for everyone.
Niantic is the only village in Connecticut that has its Main Street running right along the Long Island Sound. Everywhere you look, this village is full of unforgettable scenery.
Start your stay at one of the country's top bed and breakfasts, the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina.
The Inn is known for its amazing panoramic views of the Sound, and its luxury amenities. Enjoy breakfast overlooking the marina then take a short stroll along the water followed by a trip up Main Street to check out all the unique local shops.
