Road trips in Connecticut are pretty great. Thanks to our small size, you're able to explore much of the state in just a few hours! This trip will require a little over three hours of drive time, though of course, you'll want to plan for much more time to explore each destination. Sleeping Giant State Park gets its name because the mountain resembles a sleeping giant. There's an observation tower here that will let you see for miles, and the hiking trails trails are some of the most popular in the state. There's a lot to see and do here!

We've got so many wonderful beaches in Connecticut that it was hard to pick just one, but Hammonasset seemed like a fitting choice. It features the longest shoreline in the state and even has a singing beach!
