Although Connecticut does not have the impressive mountains of Colorado or Arizona, We have some tiny ones in the northwest corner of the state. Nestled among these big hills is a mountain town that is a picture perfect getaway. Simsbury is charming, picturesque, and a great place to unwind.
The town of Simsbury is bordered on the east by Talcott Mountain. It is a cozy town with many outdoor activities and is the perfect spot to unwind.

The Pinchot Sycamore is over 100 feet tall and the diameter is over 28 feet. The tree was named for area conservationist and Connecticut resident Gifford Pinchot. It is located on the east bank of the Farmington River near the base of Talcott Mountain in a small park.
