Editor’s Note: Since the publication of this article, Marley’s Cafe has, sadly, closed.
One of the most hidden dining spots in the state, Marley’s Cafe is located on an island just off the city’s riverbank. That’s right! Essex Island Marina is home to a Jamaican island paradise. Marley’s Cafe is located at 11 Ferry Street, Essex, Connecticut 06426. For similar dining fun, check out Shank’s, the restaurant that used to be a commercial lobster boat.
