There’s no shortage of waterfront restaurants in Connecticut. We may be a small state, but we’ve got miles of river frontage by the Connecticut River, plus all the shore front area by Long Island Sound. The aptly-named River: A Waterfront Restaurant takes waterfront dining in Connecticut to a whole new level, quite literally, with their multi-level dining deck. They have a phenomenal heating system, so you’re able to dine outside even on the coldest nights of the year! There are only a few restaurants on the banks of the Connecticut River and River is proud to be one of them.
This place is beautiful! There is a multi-level outdoor deck heated with 26 super heaters that put out 1.2 million BTU. This is the only restaurant in the area that truly allows for four-season outdoor dining.
River specializes in steaks, and they're delicious. The beef here is supplied by Pat LaFrieda, who is probably the biggest name in today's meat industry.
And, of course, "Brunch Booze" is a popular option to go along with your meal! There's a giant Fishbowl For Two that's a great option if you're out with a friend or partner.
With the delicious food and the gorgeous waterfront views, this steakhouse in Connecticut is a great option.
