Stonington is a harbor town with its roots deep in the fishing, whaling, sealing, and trading industries. There are plenty of gorgeous water views and fun places to explore in this seaside town.
The most well-known landmark in Stonington is its stone lighthouse. Although small in size, this light became the first lighthouse museum in the U.S. in 1925. Climb to the top of the tower to take in the unrivaled view or browse the maritime exhibits to brush up on your history.
