The gorgeous all-season tropical greenhouse is home to between 40-50 varieties of butterflies. Each week, new species are added to the experience. No matter how often you visit, you can be sure that you will have a different experience every time.

Butterflies from South Asia and Costa Rica are part of a conservation effort which helps butterfly farmers generate an income, as well as improving forest restoration and conservation through these regions. Not only is this an educational experience, but also creates a long term global impact.

After your butterfly encounter, you'll want to spend the rest of the afternoon learning and discovering throughout the Connecticut Science Center with activities that will stimulate your brain and excite your imagination.
Whether this is your first visit or you’re a frequent visitor, you will find magic with every visit. Visit Wednesday through Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM and weekends or holidays from 11 AM to 4 PM. Tickets can be purchased at $7 per person and $5 per member, in addition to your regular general admission. Tickets allow for one 20 minute experience at this time.
