We’re also eager to find great and delicious restaurants here in Connecticut, but as the weather changes we’ve craving comfort food even more! There’s plenty of it throughout the state, but when you consider how much travel has changed we’re giving bonus points to the eateries that also make us feel a little adventurous. If you’re in search of the same we’ve got the perfect place to get your next meal out!
Welcome to Goulash Place in Danbury, where you'll feel like you've stepped off a plane in central Europe without ever having to show your passport.
This eatery features an extensive menu of Hungarian food all meant to fill your belly and your soul. If you're looking for authentic comfort food, look no further.
And you absolutely can't leave without someone at your table ordering the stuffed cabbage. This quintessential meal is hard to perfect with the perfect balance of sweet and sour, but the Goulash Place has done it!
And, while we love the food here, the ambiance is something to rave about as well. The old-world feel is everywhere from the decor on the walls to the tablecloths.
This is a must-try if you're craving something new that will send you out the door full for hours.
Goulash Place is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. They’re closed on Monday and Tuesday. You can learn more about them by checking out their website. Or, you can visit them on Facebook. You can reach them at 203-44-1971.
