Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). There’s no end to summer fun in the Nutmeg State. Generations of families have enjoyed Lake Compounce, the oldest continuously-operating amusement park in the country. We’ve also got so many incredible state parks in Connecticut, and even the smallest ones are packed with adventures to enjoy, particularly in the warm weather months. One spot that doesn’t get quite enough love is Hop Brook Lake. This reservoir is tucked away in New Haven County and provides ample recreation opportunities. It’s especially perfect in the summertime!
