The Nutmeg State has a long and storied history, and with that comes rumors of haunted buildings. We have a number of reportedly haunted places in Connecticut. Hotels, bars, even entire towns are filled with paranormal activity. If you’re planning a trip and want to stay in a haunted inn in Connecticut, we’ve got several to choose from. The Blackberry River Inn in Norfolk’s historic district may look like your run-of-the-mill historic hotel, but it’s rumored to be the home of a long-dead spirit.
Construction on this beautiful mansion began in 1763. A network of tunnels exists underneath the inn, and it was likely a stop on the Underground Railroad.
If you're afraid of ghosts, this is one you don't have to fear. "The Lady In White" is said to roam the second floor of the hotel. There are no reports of her harming anyone.
