But can you find plenty of other spots that have rumors of ghosts and goblins swirling around them. One place that you wouldn’t suspect to be the subject of spooky stories is a park. After all, parks are typically serene places to enjoy nature. But right here in Stratford, you’ll find Boothe Memorial Park, an allegedly haunted park that’s beautiful, historic, and, if you believe the stories, filled with ghosts.

Boothe Memorial Park is an absolutely lovely 32-acre oasis tucked away in Stratford overlooking the Housatonic River.

The park is filled with unusual buildings, like a windmill, mini lighthouse, clock tower, and chapel. The buildings were placed there by the eccentric family that owned the property and would eventually donate it to the town.

Allegedly, the Boothe brothers that lived here and built all the unusual buildings studied spiritualism here in the early 20th-century. Several teams of modern-day ghost hunters have explored the park and claim to have seen unexplained balls of lights and heard odd noises.
