If you are curious about what life might be like in the years to come, then you need to check out this futuristic world that is on display in Hartford. A new traveling exhibit has come to the Connecticut Science Center and it explores space, science and the question that has haunted mankind for centuries — are we alone or are their others out there?
Alien Worlds and Androids is a new exhibit that has come to the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford for a limited time.
The exhibit space is sleek, shiny, and modern with special lighting that makes you feel as though you have stepped through a gateway to the future. Visitors will learn about discoveries in space and advancement in technology that has led scientists to believe that there is a distinct possibility that life may exist beyond the planet Earth.
The exhibit is designed to educate and entertain guests of all ages as you seek out alien life in 5,000 square feet of space.
You can discover some of the strange alien-like creatures that have been found here on Earth as well as see some of the technology that we have used to explore other planets.
You will be amazed at how much technology and information is packed into this futuristic world.
One of the highlights is the ability to take a simulated journey to Mars alongside NASA's rover robots. You will also learn how robots are used every day on Earth in science and technology.
The interactive exhibits make it easy to understand some of the more complicated technology that is being used in space exploration.
Visitors will be delighted to try and operate a robotic arm and see how it functions. You can also explore the idea of artificial intelligence and what it means.
Alien Worlds and Androids is a sci-fi junkie's paradise. Robots from movies like Star Wars and Iron Man are on display for you to examine up close.
In some cases, the androids featured in movies have made scientists push the limits in creating their own robots for research and discovery.
You won't want to stop after you visit the aliens and robots. The Connecticut Science Center has much more to offer.
You can also get up close and personal with butterflies in the Butterfly Encounter or try testing your physical and mental strength in the Sports Lab. You can also race robots and build Lego masterpieces in the Invention Dimension at the center.
Plan your visit to interact with this futuristic world as soon as you can because Aliens and Androids is only in town until January 7, 2018.
The Connecticut Science Center can be found at 250 Columbus Blvd., Hartford, CT 06103. It is open to visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
