What could be better than a tea party with your little ones? A family tea party on a train, of course!
Essex Steam Train is rolling out yet another lovable family-friendly adventure that involves dress-up, finger sandwiches, and memories that will last a lifetime. The two themes of this year’s tea party excursions are superheroes and fairies. For those that wish to don a cape and wear a mask, Superhero Day takes place on May 16th and 17th. For those who prefer storybooks, fairytales, and facepaint, Fairy Tea will be offered on May 23rd and 24th. You can find out more about both of these magical events by clicking here.
Are you and your kids ready to celebrate the arrival of spring in the most unforgettable way? Head to the Essex Steam Train station and let the adventures begin!
Check-in for the tea party adventure begins approximately 45 minutes before departure. This will give the kids plenty of time to create their costumes for the day.
For Superhero Day, each child will have the chance to decorate his or her own cape and will be given a superhero mask to match. Those signed up for Fairy Day will be given a pair of wings and tutus to wear.
When it's time, passengers will hop aboard the picturesque and beautifully-restored 1920s-era Pullman Dining car. You'll be delighted to discover the tables set and ready for you.
As you and the little ones sip your tea, you'll love the opportunity to watch the springtime countryside whirl by. It's hard to imagine a more relaxing family adventure.
