It’s the most wonderful time of the year! What better a way to embrace all that this magical season has to offer than a holiday train excursion. Hop aboard Essex Steam Train’s Santa Special, known this year as the Elf Academy, and prepare to be enchanted by both scenery and festivities. This family-friendly adventure involves vintage Christmas decorations, cookies, candy canes, songs, and learning first-hand about the joys of being one of Santa’s special helpers. Here’s more on why you won’t want to miss your chance to enroll in the Elf Academy.
All aboard! The Santa Special is a daytime holiday train ride that promises to inspire a sense of wonder, magic, and adventure.
This year, Santa and Mrs. Claus are looking to train a new group of helpers to spread kindness and Christmas cheer to the world. It's a full-time job, you know!
The adventure begins when you find your seat inside the decorated vintage car. The Santa Special train is general admission, so those traveling in groups can board the train together.
During the 60-minute train adventure, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with each passenger for a little quality time (and a great photo op for the parents!).
Other activities include family photo ops inside Santa's sleigh, live musical performances, and the chance to enjoy freshly-baked cookies and other treats from Kringle Kitchen.
So whether you're looking for a new family holiday tradition or have enjoyed the Santa Special for years, you won't be disappointed by your experience with the Elf Academy!
