We’re lucky to have a variety of u-pick farms in Connecticut. Whether you’re looking for fruits, vegetables, or flowers, there’s probably some you can pick somewhere in the Nutmeg State. One spot that’s the absolute king of u-pick delights is Lapsley Orchard. This farm in Pomfret has items available for picking for just about half the year. You can find just about any kind of produce here when it’s in season, and even get flowers in the summertime!
Lapsley Orchard is one of our favorite places to visit in Connecticut's Northeast "Quiet Corner." This region is filled with pastoral farmland and it's such a peaceful area.
The current owners took over in 1984, when there weren't many farmers markets around. The farm stand at Lapsley opened up and was a great place to find locally-made goods.
The farm stand now carries produce grown at the Lapsley Orchard farm, plus products like meat and honey that come from nearby farms. It's a fantastic place to pick up locally-made foods that are as fresh as possible.

Visiting the farm stand is a great experience, but if you'd like something a little more exciting, Lapsley offers pick-your-own opportunities throughout the year.
Getting a bouquet of flowers from the store for someone is a nice gesture, but how amazing would it be to bring a loved one flowers you chose and cut yourself?
