Don’t you just love waterfalls in Connecticut? No matter the season, there’s something special about seeing these magnificent cascades, whether they tower over their surroundings or are on the smaller side. One waterfall in the aptly-named Falls Village, CT that used to be pretty popular but is now not quite the draw it once was is the beautiful Dean’s Ravine Falls. This 50-foot waterfall is the highlight of an easy trek through the woods, and this is such a beautiful area that it’s hard not to consider it a must-visit destination. Check it out:

This was once a landmark along the mighty Appalachian Trail, but in the 1980s, the 2,180-mile trail's path was slightly shifted, and today, hikers along the AT won't come across this beautiful sight.
