From preschool through college, Connecticut has plenty of amazing schools and school districts. We set high standards for education here. That means the competition to make the list of the top ten public schools is fierce. Read on for the list of the best school districts in Connecticut, based on their score in the following categories: academics, diversity, teachers, college prep, clubs & activities, health & safety, administration, sports, food, and resources & facilities.
Greenwich scored higher in diversity than New Canaan and Westport, with a B+, but scored lower in other categories. "Lower" doesn't mean that much lower; outside of diversity Greenwich scored all A's and above.
There are a few grades below A's in Ridgefield's ranking, but the grades for academics, teachers, and college prep are all A+.
Clearly, the best-ranked school districts in Connecticut don’t do well in the diversity category. If you’re interested in reading more about the rankings, check out the list here.
