When you think of rodeos, Connecticut surely does not come to mind, but at this once-a-year epic cowboy festival, you can get a little taste of the wild west right in your own backyard. There is fun to be had for all ages at the Goshen Stampede and if you are going to attend any festival in the Nutmeg State this year, make it this one.
The 13th annual Goshen Stampede will take place from June 15-17, it is a unique event that is exciting for the entire family. A festival like this only comes around once a year, so grab your hat and boots and get ready for a fun-filled weekend.
Spectate real live professional rodeo action just like you see on TV. Or watch as amateur riders compete in events like barrel racing for $1000 in prize money.
Even little wanna-be cowboys and cowgirls will have a chance to strut their stuff with the stick horse race, hula hoop roping, boot race, and mutton busting.
You can purchase tickets for the festival online or purchase them at the gate. Adult admission is $16, youth ages 10-17 is $12, and kids under 10 are $6 or free with coupon. Veterans who have an ID card will be granted free admission.
The Goshen Stampede will take place Friday, June 15 from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday, June 16 from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., and Sunday, June 17 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m at the Goshen Fair Grounds, 116 Old Middle St., Goshen, CT.
