Connecticut is well known for its bustling seaports and shipbuilding industry, but the Nutmeg State has also had a long affair with the land. Farms have been a staple since our earliest settlers took residence. Today we are still large producers of milk, poultry, eggs, vegetables, melons, potatoes, and tobacco.
