Cheese lovers unite! There’s a remote farm in the southeast corner of Connecticut just waiting to be discovered by you. Well, you and your tastebuds, that is. Cato Corner Farm makes some of the best cheese you will ever taste, likely because it comes from the milk of humanely raised, pasture fed Jersey Cows. Using their signature unique recipes, the mother-son duo behind this awesome locale produce some pretty awesome flavors. Check it out now:
It doesn't get any better than this. The Cato Corner Farm is full of warm hospitality. The family owned business is hidden in the Colchester woods, making it a true escape.
The magic happens when you step in to the cheese room. The quaint room skips the frills and gets straight to the point, meaning it's all about the cheese! They even age and care for the cheese in an underground cave, ripening all varieties to their peak of flavor.
They keep the stinky cheeses in a separate room, but that doesn't mean you can't try them. You can sample just about any kind of cheese you can think of here, and even buy some to take home. The low prices attached to this raw milk cheese is too good to pass up.
And don't forget to say hello to the cows! The property is beautiful, perfect for a stroll, and after you've purchased some cheeses you can head up the road for a glass of wine at the vineyard. The lovely staff at the farm will even recommend some pairings before you go!
