Castle Craig is a charming piece of stonework that offers expansive views of Connecticut. So while it’s worth the trip in every season, it’s especially nice when the autumn colors roll in. If you haven’t paid a visit to this place yet, it’s not too late! Add it to your bucket list and check it off next weekend.
Castle Craig is located in Meriden, and while it might appear small from a distance, it stands 32 feet high! Overlooking Hubbard Park, it's a scenic oasis for nature lovers.
Reservoir Road lets you drive up to the right side of the tower if you don't feel like making the 3-mile hike most trails require. So this place is easily accessible and well worth the trip. No matter how you plan to get up there.
Plus you can actually enter this tower! Metal stairs lead you to the observation deck above and let you get up close and personal with a 116-year-old masterpiece!
Don't be nervous! With a circumference of nearly 60 feet, there's plenty of room for you to enjoy the view from the top. From here it's possible to see both New Haven and the Hartford skyline.
This place really lights up in the fall! The spectacular views make it a dream destination, perfect for a weekend escape! What could be more enchanting than this?
