Many think of winter festivals in Connecticut as centering around the holidays, and it is true: there are quite a few Nutmeg State celebrations at Christmastime. Still, even after the holidays are over with and the new year’s rolled around, you can find plenty of enjoyable activities. One winter festival in Torrington, CT that you’ll want to mark your calendar for is the Annual Winter Festival Event at Burr Pond State Park. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a fantastic family event that’s especially perfect for the little ones, and best of all, it’s completely free, with no registration required. Burr Pond State Park is one of our favorite summer parks in Connecticut thanks to its amazing swimming opportunities, but we’ve got to say, it’s possibly even more magical in the wintertime.
