Life in New England is pretty great, but one thing’s for sure: our water parks in Connecticut are definitely not year-round. We might be able to have plenty of fun in the summer months, but come wintertime, swimming’s not on most of our minds unless we’re traveling to warmer climes. All of that is going to change in mid-2025, though, when Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket opens up. This huge resort has 22 other locations in North America. The company is famous for family-friendly getaways that include lodging and an indoor water park. Construction just recently began on the newest Great Wolf Lodge in Connecticut, tucked away in Mashantucket. This place is going to be an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to experience it! Here’s all the details so far:

This will be the third Great Wolf Lodge in the northeastern U.S., and the first in Connecticut. Construction just recently broke ground. Completion is expected to take about 26 months, with a grand opening scheduled for the middle of 2025.

The resort will feature 549 rooms and spans 13 acres right next to the Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The 61,000-square foot family adventure park will feature activities for kids (and adults) of all ages. There are also plenty of daily events and activities that are included with your nightly lodging cost.
