Since 1846, this has been the amusement park destination in Connecticut. With four coasters to choose from, the wooden Boulder Dash Mountain Coaster is a fun thrilling ride with gorgeous views you won’t want to pass up.

Opened in 2000, the 4,162-foot wooden roller coaster was the first coaster built entirely on the side of a mountain. A special effort was made during construction to make the natural environment a part of the mountain without cutting down too many trees or disturbing the natural terrain.

You'll begin your ride with a slow ascent as your car gradually climbs upward. Take a moment to catch your breath as you coast along the gorgeous views of the tree line.

Just as you catch your breath, you'll plunge down 150 feet at speeds topping 60 mph.
