Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Mystic is one of our favorite small towns in Connecticut.
Olde Mistick Village is a charming little collection of locally-owned boutique shops. It's open all year, but gets all decked out for the holidays, with tons of lights and events.
The Mystic Seaport Museum's Lantern Light Village is among the most popular Christmas attractions in Mystic.

This outdoor, self-guided experience occurs on weekends in December and is like a step back in time. It's a theatrical event featuring historical reenactments that will make you feel like you are back in the Victorian era. Learn more or purchase tickets from the Mystic Seaport Museum website.
I don't know about you, but just looking all the pictures makes me feel holly and jolly already!
