One of the highlights of summer is all of the stunning fireworks shows to celebrate the 4th of July. Across the state, there are many celebrations worthy of attending. Get ready to view some incredible displays of light and color, here are some of the best fireworks displays in Connecticut and where to find them.
From July 13 - 15, New London's Sailfest features live music, amusement rides, tall ships, and over 200 vendors. The incredible fireworks display will commence at 9 p.m. on July 14th. Listen to K-Hits 100.9 FM on the radio to see the show choreographed to music.
The Great American Boom takes place in New Britain's Stanley Quarter Park on July 4th beginning at 5 p.m. The celebration includes a concert followed by a wonderful display of fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

In Bristol, Lake Compounce will share their fireworks and laser light show over the lake with all park goers. The colorful display on June 30th beginning at 9 p.m. is free with admission to the park.

Vernon's July In The Sky is a family-friendly event taking place on July 10th. The celebration begins at 6 p.m in Henry Park. Kids will enjoy a fun zone and the park will also have live music and food vendors. Admission is $5 per car or $1 for walk-ins.

For a spectacular 3D fireworks show, visit Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury. The event will begin at 10:15 on July 4th. Viewing glasses cost $1 and parking is $10 per vehicle.
In Simsbury, a fabulous fireworks display will take place on the first night of the Talcott Mountain Music Festival. the Hartford Symphony Orchestra will play at 7:30 on June 29th and the fireworks will follow the concert. Admission is $20 for a lawn seat and $40 for table seating.
Enjoy the bright fireworks in the sky and their reflections on the water in Madison on July 3rd. The show will begin at 9:30 p.m. off of West Wharf Beach, but the awesome celebration can be viewed from many waterfront spots along the shoreline in the area.
